A zigzag-type quinone performs better than an armchair-type quinone in the reduction of nitrobenzene. When different kinds of functionalities co-exist, the reaction is dominated by the most active sites, but the most negative sites should also be taken into consideration if the acitive sites have zigzag structures.

A combination of carbon ions/photons irradiation and hyperthermia as a novel therapeutic approach for the in-vitro treatment of pancreatic cancer BxPC3 cells is presented. The radiation doses used are 0-2 Gy for carbon ions and 0-7 Gy for 6 MV photons. Hyperthermia is realized via a standard heating bath, assisted by magnetic fluid hyperthermia (MFH) that utilizes magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) exposed to an alternating magnetic field of amplitude 19.5 mTesla and frequency 109.8 kHz. Starting from 37 degrees C, the temperature is gradually increased and the sample is kept at 42 degrees C for 30 min. For MFH, MNPs with a mean diameter of 19 nm and specific absorption rate of 110 +/- 30 W/g(Fe3)o(4) coated with a biocompatible ligand to ensure stability in physiological media are used. Irradiation diminishes the clonogenic survival at an extent that depends on the radiation type, and its decrease is amplified both by the MNPs cellular uptake and the hyperthermia protocol. Significant increases in DNA double-strand breaks at 6 h are observed in samples exposed to MNP uptake, treated with 0.75 Gy carbon-ion irradiation and hyperthermia. The proposed experimental protocol, based on the combination of hadron irradiation and hyperthermia, represents a first step towards an innovative clinical option for pancreatic cancer.

Gassel, M; Rochman, CM in [Gassel, Margy] Calif Environm Protect Agcy, Off Environm Hlth Hazard Assessment, Sacramento, CA 95812 USA; [Rochman, Chelsea M.] Univ Toronto, Dept Ecol & Evolutionary Biol, Toronto, ON M5S 3B2, Canada published The complex issue of chemicals and microplastic pollution: A case study in North Pacific lanternfish in 2019.0, Cited 62.0. SDS of cas: 101-84-8. The Name is Diphenyl oxide. Through research, I have a further understanding and discovery of 101-84-8.

Marine plastic debris, including microplastics (<5 mm in size), comprises a suite of chemical ingredients and sorbed chemical contaminants. Thus, microplastics are a potential, and debated, source of anthropogenic chemicals for bioaccumulation and biomagnification. Several studies have investigated the role of microplastics as a vector of contaminants to marine organisms via modeling exercises, laboratory experiments, and field studies. Here, we examined relationships among chemical contaminants and microplastics in lanternfish (family Myctophidae), an important link in marine food webs, from the North Pacific Ocean as a case study from the field. We compared the body burden of several chemical groups (bisphenol A [BPA], nonylphenol [4-NP], octylphenol [4n-OP], alkylphenol ethoxylates [APEs], pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls [PCBs], and polybrominated diphenyl ethers [PBDEs]) in fish caught within and outside the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre where plastic is known to accumulate. We also tested whether there was a relationship between chemical concentrations in fish and plastic density at each sampling location. Mean concentrations of common plastic constituents (BPA, 4-NP, 4n-OP, APEs, and total PBDEs) were comparable between myctophids collected within and outside the North Pacific Gyre. Pesticides were higher in lanternfish caught outside the gyre and were associated with lower plastic density. Total PCBs were also higher in fish outside the gyre. In contrast, lower chlorinated PCB congeners were higher in fish residing in the accumulation zone and were correlated with higher plastic density. This finding is consistent with other studies demonstrating an association between lower chlorinated PCBs and plastics in biota and suggests that microplastic may be a transport mechanism for some chemicals in nature. We report an efficient procedure for the synthesis of pillared MWW zeolites (MCM-36) via integrating intercalation and hydrolysis of tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) into one step. Specifically, two specially selected surfactants with more hydrophilicity instead of the conventional swelling agent cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) were employed to increase the interlayer wetting ability and water content. The resultant intercalation and hydrolysis of TEOS occur concurrently in a confined interlayer microenvironment with enriched interlayer water and basic hexamethyleneimine (HMI). It is found that the wetting ability of swelling surfactants has a profound effect on pillarization efficiency, resulting in the different degrees of order of the layered structure, pore-size distribution, and accessibility of the acid sites of MCM-36. MCM-36 prepared using a gemini-type surfactant as a swelling agent shows a highly long-range ordered structure and enhanced catalytic activity for alkylation of benzene with benzyl alcohol compared to the one produced using conventional CTAB as a swelling agent.

The lack of Nationally Certified Reference Materials for the calibration of DSC equipment in the sub-ambient range has been addressed by the introduction of a Certified Reference Material of purified cyclohexane by the National Metrology Institute of Japan. This sample, in conjunction with the CRM material phenyl salicylate and the ITS-90 fixed point material mercury, has enable a DSC-thermomicroscopy system to be accurately calibrated over the temperature range 90 degrees C to 50 degrees C. The DSC has then been used to measure values for the solid-solid transitions in the potential Certified Reference Materials ammonium sulphate, adamantane and ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, which have the advantage of being thermally stable and easy to handle, and for the melting point of diphenyl ether. In addition, the effect of temperature cycling on these materials has been investigated.

Some scientific research about Diphenyl oxide

Welcome to talk about 101-84-8, If you have any questions, you can contact Su, QZ; Vera, P; Nerin, C or send Email.. Formula: C12H10O

Su, QZ; Vera, P; Nerin, C in [Su, Qi-Zhi; Vera, Paula; Nerin, Cristina] Univ Zaragoza, Dept Analyt Chem, EINA, GUIA Grp,I3A, Zaragoza 50018, Spain published Direct Immersion-Solid-Phase Microextraction Coupled to Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry and Response Surface Methodology for Nontarget Screening of (Semi-) Volatile Migrants from Food Contact Materials in 2020.0, Cited 33.0. Formula: C12H10O. The Name is Diphenyl oxide. Through research, I have a further understanding and discovery of 101-84-8.

Toward a more rigorous inspection of food contact materials, the importance of sample preparation for nontarget screening should be addressed. Direct immersion-solid-phase microextraction coupled to gas chromatography mass spectrometry (DI-SPME-GC-MS) was optimized for nontarget screening of migrants in 3% acetic acid, 10% ethanol, and 95% ethanol food simulants by response surface methodology (RSM) in the present study. Optimum conditions were DVB/CAR/PDMS fiber, no pH adjustment for 10% and 95% ethanol simulant but pH adjustment to 7 for 3% acetic acid simulant, no salt addition, 5 min preincubation, 55 min extraction at 70 degrees C, and 8 min desorption at 250 degrees C. In addition, 9.5 times dilution of 95% ethanol samples prior to extraction was required. pH modification of 3% acetic acid samples was found to be critical for the extraction of amines. The proposed methodology was then evaluated by determining the limit of detection (LOD) as well as repeatability of 35 food contact materials-related substances. Except for those amines and diols which have a relatively high LOD, the LODs of the rest of the substances were 0.1-14.1 mu g/kg with a precision of 1.9-23.0% in 10% ethanol and were 0.1-20.2 mu g/kg with a precision of 2.5-19.6% in 3% acetic acid simulant. The LOD and precision in 95% ethanol simulant were 0.7-163.7 mu g/kg and 1.4-26.8%, respectively. The proposed method can be applied for an overall screening of migrants from these three simulants at even trace levels, though attention should be paid to some specific analytes, e.g., diols and amines, which could have a high LOD and toxicity.

Name: Benzyl ether. I found the field of Chemistry very interesting. Saw the article Linker-assisted structuration of tunable uranium-based hybrid lamellar nanomaterials published in 2020, Reprint Addresses Maynadie, J (corresponding author), Univ Montpellier, CEA, ENSCM, CNRS,ICSM, Marcoule, France.. The CAS is 103-50-4. Through research, I have a further understanding and discovery of Benzyl ether.

Obtaining bulk materials ordered at the nanoscale using nanoparticles as building blocks is a new challenge for scientists and is of primary interest in some research areas. In this study, we developed a simple one-pot route towards nanostructured hybrid materials based on uranium oxide through a non-hydrolytic condensation process under mild solvothermal conditions (T = 160 degrees C) using ditopic organic linkers as structuring agents. The obtained materials present a sand rose morphology composed of agglomerated nanometric sheets with a lamellar substructure. Nanometric sheets are composed of inorganic fringes consisting of a studtite phase [(UO2)O-2(H2O)(2)]center dot 2H(2)O that alternates with organic fringes formed by the structuring organic linker. A multiparametric study based on SAXS experiments and TEM analyses has highlighted the control of structural parameters by varying some synthesis conditions. The interlamellar distances are tunable from 1.60 nm to 1.94 nm through the length of the structuring linker and the inter-sheet distance from 1.85 nm to 2.10 nm through synthesis temperature. This efficient one-pot route appears to be very promising for the production of tunable multiscale nanostructured hybrid materials and can be implemented in many research areas, paving the way for various applications.

I found the field of Chemistry very interesting. Saw the article Silylpalladium Cations Enable the Oxidative Addition of C(sp(3))-O Bonds published in 2019.0. Safety of Diphenyl oxide, Reprint Addresses Gagne, MR (corresponding author), Univ N Carolina, Dept Chem, Caudill Labs, Chapel Hill, NC 27599 USA.. The CAS is 101-84-8. Through research, I have a further understanding and discovery of Diphenyl oxide

The synthesis and characterization of the room-temperature and solution-stable silylpalladium cations (PCy3)(2)Pd-SiR3+(C6F5)(4)B- (SiR3 = SiMe2Et, SiHEt2) and (Xantphos)Pd-SiR3+(BAr4f) (SiR3 = SiMe2Et, SiHEt2; Xant-phos = 4,5-bis(diphenylphosphino)-9,9-dimethylxanthene; BAr4f = (3,5-(CF3)(2)C6H3)(4)B-) are reported. Spectroscopic and ligand addition experiments suggest that silylpalladium complexes of the type (PCy3) Pd-SiR3+ are three-coordinate and T-shaped. Addition of dialkyl ethers to both the PCy3 and Xantphos-based silylpalladium cations resulted in the cleavage of C(sp(3))-O bonds and the generation of cationic Pd-alkyl complexes. Mechanistically enabling is the ability of silylpalladium cations to behave as sources of both electrophilic silylium ions and nucleophilic LnPd(0).
