After filtration of the precipitate and distillation of the solvent, the residue was suspended in 2 M aqueous sodium hydroxide solution and stirred for 5 minutes at 45 C. The precipitate was filtered, the solvent distilled off, the residue suspended in acetonitrile/methanol mixture and filtered through an alumina pad (Polygram Alox N/UV254). 1.2 g (3.63 mmol; 77 %) orange solid were obtained after drying in vacuo.
