The reaction was stirred at RT for 2h and filtered. The filtrate was concentrated and dried to give 3-(3-(benzyloxy)propyl)-6-methoxyquinazoline-2,4(1H,3H)-dione (1.3 g, 80% yield) as a brown oil. LCMS: MH 341 and TR = 1.456 min. Used without further purification.
