Zhang, Junhui published the artcileComparative (co-)pyrolytic performances and by-products of textile dyeing sludge and cattle manure: Deeper insights from Py-GC/MS, TG-FTIR, 2D-COS and PCA analyses, Category: ethers-buliding-blocks, the main research area is kinetic copyrolysis gas char textile dyeing sludge cattle manure; Cattle manure; Char functional groups; Gaseous products; Kinetics; Textile dyeing sludge.

Not only does pyrolysis recover energy and value-added byproducts but also reduces waste stream volume The low volatiles and high ash contents of textile dyeing sludge (TDS) limit its mono-pyrolysis performance. This study aimed to conduct an in-depth anal. of its co-pyrolytic performance with cattle manure (CM). The co-pyrolysis enhanced the volatiles emission from the early devolatilization stage whose reaction mechanism shifted from a diffusion model to a reaction-order model. The further cracking of macromol. materials was mainly elucidated by the reaction-order model. The temperature dependency of the co-pyrolytic gases was of the following order: aliphatic hydrocarbons > CO2 > alcs., phenols, ethers, aldehydes, ketones, and carboxylic acids. The main co-pyrolytic volatile products were coumaran and 4-vinylguaiacol. The relative content of guaiacol-type components could be enhanced by co-pyrolysis and lowering the operational temperature to 450°C. The interaction of co-pyrolysis enriched the char aromaticity. Our findings provide practical insights into the control and application opportunities and limitations on the high value-added energy and products from the co-pyrolysis of TDS and CM.

A metal-free, oxidative coupling of phenols with various nucleophiles, including arenes, 1,3-diketones and other phenols was reported. Cross-coupling was mediated by a sulfoxide which inverts the reactivity of the phenol partner. Crucially, the process showed high selectivity for cross-vs. homo-coupling and allowed efficient access to a variety of aromatic scaffolds including biaryls, benzofurans and through an iterative procedure aromatic oligomers.

A B(C6F5)3-catalyzed hydroarylation of a series of 1,3-dienes with various phenols has been established through a combination of theor. and exptl. investigations, affording structurally diverse ortho-allyl phenols. DFT calculations show that the reaction proceeds through a borane-promoted protonation/Friedel-Crafts pathway involving a π-complex of a carbocation-anion contact ion pair. This protocol features simple and mild reaction conditions, broad functional-group tolerance, and low catalyst loading. The obtained ortho-allyl phenols could be further converted into flavan derivatives using B(C6F5)3 with good cis diastereoselectivity. 4-Benzyloxyphenol (cas: 103-16-2) belongs to ethers. Volatile esters with characteristic odours are used in synthetic flavours, perfumes, and cosmetics. Improved oxidative cleavage of lignin model compound by ORR in protic ionic liquid was written by Jiang, Haomin;Wang, Lei;Qiao, Lingling;Xue, Aiguo;Cheng, Yujuan;Chen, Yueying;Ren, Yuan;Chen, Yongmei;Wan, Pingyu. The electrochem. degradation of p-benzyloxyl phenol (PBP) in [HNEt3][HSO4] is investigated using an oxygen reductive reaction (ORR) cathode in a non-membrane cell. It is disclosed that the two-electron reductive products of O2 (that is H2O2) is the main reactive oxygen species (ROS) in [HNEt3][HSO4], a protic ionic liquid (PIL). The degradation of PBP in PIL with the degradation rate of 48.2% and the current efficiency of 29.5% are obtained, which is higher than that in [BMIM][BF4], an aprotic ionic liquid (AIL). Based on the products identified by GC-MS, the effect of electro-generated H2O2 on the cleavage of ether bond in PBP is proposed. The result confirms that the appropriate number of protons in supporting electrolyte plays an important role in electrochem. degradation of lignin model compounds This study involved multiple reactions and reactants, such as 4-Benzyloxyphenol (cas: 103-16-2Application of 103-16-2).

DS68702229, a potent NAMPT activator developed from HTS followed by a hit-to-lead campaign, is a promising candidate compound that significantly reduced body weight when orally administered to mice with high fat diet-induced obesity. However, in vitro toxicol. profiling of DS68702229 revealed bacterial mutagenicity using Salmonella typhimurium TA98 and TA100 strains upon S9 activation. Hypothesizing that DNA intercalation is the likely cause, we employed several approaches to disrupt the putative DNA intercalation, including modulation of the mol. shape. Our efforts culminated in the discovery of compounds 20k and 20l, which increased intracellular NAD+ levels in a cell-based assay without inducing mutagenicity, along with acceptable plasma exposure in mice after oral administration. Introduced a unifying strategy that eliminates the need for an exogenous base through the use of non-innocent electrophiles (NIE), which were equipped with a masked base that was released in a controlled fashion during the reaction. The universal applicability of this concept were demonstrated by turning multiple, traditionally base-dependent, catalytic reactions into exogenous base-free homogeneous processes. Furthermore, the advantageous features of NIEs were demonstrated in multiple applications, such as in a micromole-scale fluorescence-based assay. This led to the discovery of a Ni-catalyzed deoxygenation reaction of aryl carbamates using isopropanol as a benign reductant. Herein, authors report a transition metal-free, operationally simple, general method for straightforward syntheses of 2-substituted benzoxazoles from readily available cyclohexanones and aliphatic primary amines by an imine α-oxygenation-initiated cascade reaction sequence. The key to achieving high selectivity and excellent functional-group tolerance is the use of TEMPO as a mild oxidant that selectively oxidizes the reaction intermediates through its multiple reactivity modes, thus facilitating the individual steps to proceed in succession.
