The appropriate amine (1.0 equiv) or alcohol (1 equiv) andEt3N (1.2 equiv) were dissolved in CH2Cl2 (0.5 M) and cooled to 0 C.The crude carbamoyl chloride was added dropwise and the reactionmixture was stirred at room temperature for 16 h. The mixture wasdiluted with EtOAc, washed with saturated aqueous NaCl, and driedover Na2SO4. Evaporation under reduced pressure yielded the crudecoupling product that was purified by flash chromatography (SiO2).
