HATU (500 mg, 1.315 mmol) was added to a stirred solution of 3-((4-((tert-butoxycarbonyl)amino)naphthalen-1-yl)oxy)pyridin-2-yl)amino)-5-ethynylbenzoic acid (see Example 52(iii) above; 500 mg, 1.009 mmol), 2-(2-(2-methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)-ethanamine (277 mg, 1.695 mmol) and triethylamine (250 muL, 1.796 mmol) in N,N-dimethylformamide (10 mL). The mixture was stirred at rt for 18 h. The mixture was diluted with EtOAc (50 mL) and washed with water (50 mL), 20% brine (3*50 mL) and saturated brine (50 mL). The organic phase was dried (MgSO4), filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure.
