The organic layers were combined, dried (Na2SO4) and concentrated in vacuo to give 1-(2-(4-bromophenoxy)ethyl)-4-chloro-1H-pyrazole (7, 1.03 g, 83%) as white solid. 1H-NMR (400 MHz; CDCl3): d 4.26 (t, J = 5.0 Hz , 2H), 4.44 (t, J = 5.1 Hz , 2H), 6.74 (d, J = 8.9 Hz, 2H), 7.36 (d, J = 8.9 Hz, 2H), 7.44 (s, 1H), 7.51 (s, 1H).
