Synthesis example 31 : A -(2,6-Difluoro-4-methoxy-phenyl)-5-(2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-1-methyl-1H- pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid amide To a solution of intermediate 2b (72 mg) in dry toluene (2 mL) were consecutively added 2,6-difluoro-4- methoxyaniline (48 mg) and trimethyl aluminium (2 M in heptane, 0.15 mL) and the resulting mixture was heated to 110 C for 1 h. The mixture was chilled and 1 M HCI (2 mL) was added. The layers were separated and the aqueous layer was extracted with EtOAc. The combined organic layers were dried and the volatiles were removed under reduced pressure. The residue was purified through washing with Et20 to give the desired compound (86% yield).
