A mixture of 2-methoxy-6-nitroaniline (1 g, 5.95 mmol), 10% palladium carbon (300 mg) and methanol (25 ml) was stirred in a hydrogen atmosphere for 4 hours. The generated solid was collected by filtration to obtain the title compound (950 mg, yield: 88.6%) as a light orange solid.
