The oily residue was dissolved in CH2Cl2 and purified by chromatography on silica gel (gradient 3:1 hexanes/CH2Cl2 to CH2Cl2) to provide compound 6 (530 mg, 21%) as a clear, colorless oil: 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) delta 7.19-7.34 (m, 2H), 6.88-6.93 (m, 2H), 3.93 (s, 3H), 1.58-1.63 (m, 2H), 1.23-1.27 (m, 2H).
