The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight and was purified by reverse-phase preparative HPLC (YMC 75 X 30 mm column, acetonitrile/water + 0.1 percent trifluoroacetic acid) to afford 7-(2,4- dimethoxypyrimidin-5-yl)-4-((3-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)amino)quinoline-3-sulfonamide, trifluoroacetic acid salt (24 mg, 0.038 mmol, 28.8 percent yield) as a yellow solid. 1 H NMR (400 MHz, METHANOL-d4) delta ppm 4.08 (s, 3 H) 4.12 (s, 3 H) 7.37 – 7.48 (m, 3 H) 7.60 – 7.75 (m, 3 H) 8.28 (s, 1 H) 8.53 (s, 1 H) 9.16 (s, 1 H). LCMS (ES+) m/e 522 [M+H]+.
