A stirred solution of intermediate 23 (0.21 g, 0.53 mmol) in DMF (4.0 ml) at ambienttemperature was treated with sodium hydride (60% in mineral oil, 0.023 g, 0.58 mmol). After 5 minutes, the mixture was treated with 1 -bromo-3-methoxypropane (0.09 g, 0.58 mmol) and the resulting mixture was stirred at 50 C for 2.0 hours. The mixture was cooled to ambient temperature and partitioned between EtOAc and brine. The organic phase was dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated in vacuo.
