After cooling to room temperature, the mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with water and brine. The organic phase was dried (MgSO4) and the solvent removed under reduced pressure. The crude product was purified by column chromatography on silica gel eluting with 1:6 ethyl acetate/petroleum ether to afford the target compound as a yellow solid (71 mg, 25 percent). deltaH (dbeta-OMSO, 400 MHz): 5.09 (2 H, s), 6.47 (1 H, dd), 6.53 (2 H, m), 7.13 (1 H, t), 7.26 (1 H, d), 7.36 (1 H, m), 7.40-7.47 (4 H, t), 7.53 (1 H, t), 8.01 (1 H, s), 8.04 (1 H, d), 8.24 (1 H, s), 8.42 (2 H, s) and 8.90 (1 H, s). LCMS (AP+): 437 (MH+, 100 percent).
