Synthesis of S19 (Scheme 6): To a stirred solution of S26 (20 mg, 0.1 mmol) and triethylamine (30 mg, 0.3 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (5 ml) is added 1,4-butyldiacid chloride (8 mg, 0.05 mmol) at 0 C. The resulting mixture is stirred at 0 C. for one hour and at room temperature overnight. The organic phase is washed with saturated sodium bicarbonate and 1N HCl and water.
