At room temperature, 400 mul of a 4 M solution of HCl in dioxane are added to a solution of 218 mg (1.00 mmol) of 2,5-dichloro-N-(cyclopropylmethyl)pyrimidine-4-amine and 299 mg (1.98 mmol) of 4-(isopropoxy)aniline in 12 ml of acetonitrile, and the mixture is heated at 85 C.
