General procedure: At 0 C, a solution of 3(4)-bromobenzoyl chloride or 5-bromothiophene-2-carbonyl chloride (1 eq) in CH2Cl2 (2 ml/eq) was added drop wise to a solution of N-methylbenzylamine (1 eq) and triethylamine (1.15 eq) in CH2Cl2 (2 ml/eq).
