After cooling to room temperature, the mixture was concentrated. The residue was then partitioned between EtOAc and H2O, and the organic layer was separated, dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated. The residue was purified by column chromatography using hexanes/EtOAc (0 to 5% EtOAc in hexanes). The product was dissolved in THF (100 mL), and 1M aqueous HCl (50 mL) was added. After being stirred at room temperature for 1h, the mixture was partitioned between EtOAc and H2O. The organic layer was separated, washed with brine, dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated. The residue was purified by column chromatography using hexanes/EtOAc (0 to 20% EtOAc in hexanes). The product 30 was obtained as pale brown oil in 30% yield (5.4 mg). LCMS: (M+1) m/z = 196.
