The mixture is cooled to ambient temperature, diluted with H2O, and extracted with EtOAc. The organic layer is separated, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue is purified by flash silica gel chromatography to afford D-6-2 (48 g, 42% yield).
